The Pinstripe Chopping Board - Large Size, Hand Made, Hardwood Sapele & Beech wood.

This is a limited run of cutting boards and this with this design hopefuly something a little different.

All made here in the Uk, Hampshire by our talented craftsmen. Being a joinery shop we are always left with offcuts. Over the years we have collected an abundance of this wood and its finally time turn it into something beautiful!

These are Large Boards measuring 500Wx330Dx46mm (52mm including the foot).

To really make these boards stand out we have chosen to use Beech and Sapele. These are both very durable hardwoods and the colour contrast of the light Pink Beech and red Sapele really makes makes for a fantastic looking board.

For ease of use these have a routed handle each end to make them easy to move and pick up. They also have 4 little feet fixed underneath to raise them off the work work surface and allow air flow underneath. These also help keep the board from sliding about during use.

The boards have been finished using several coats of Hard Wax Oil. This is a food safe finish that soaks into the grain while also leaving a protective film. Unlike mineral oil this also cures ensuring the protective coating lasts. This is also widely available should you need to re finish the board in years to come.

We do recommend these are never placed in a dishwasher or submerged in water. The extreme heat and steam will cause damage to the board and if let to soak they will swell. These should be cleaned over a sink and be dried straightaway as with any finished wooden kitchen product.

Sizes may vary a few mm due to the nature of the way these are made. We are currently only listing this larger size but should you want a bespoke option please contact us.
